To mark the 400th anniversary of Marin Getaldić’s death, the 12th Midsummer Scene Festival presents a special theatrical tribute to one of Dubrovnik’s greatest scientists, mathematicians, physicists and diplomats.

Written by Filip Krenus, the monodrama “A Wizard in the Cave” takes the audience through the life, ideas and discoveries of Marin Getaldić, bringing together science, philosophy, imagination and theatre in a story inspired by the legend of his cave.
