Sretni smo što možemo najaviti da ovogodišnji Mars Festival 2026 službeno otvaramo sa splitskim bendom @gdinjko! Bend je dobio ime po hvarskom selu Gdinju, inspirirani nemilim događajem iz sredine prošlog stoljeća. Hvarani iz susjednog festivala @mudribrk , kažu da “se ponekad još i danas, oko 4 sata ujutro, taman prije svitanja, u kaletama hvarskih mjesta zna čuti zloglasni zvuk trube iz dalekog Gdinja, kao podsjetnik da je jazz još uvijek tu među nama”.

We’re happy to announce that this year’s Mars Festival 2026 will officially open with the Split-based band Gdinjko! The band took its name from the Hvar village of Gdinj, inspired by an ill-fated event from the middle of the last century. People from Hvar, from the neighboring Mudri Brk festival, say that “even today, sometimes around 4 a.m., just before dawn, you can still hear the infamous sound of a trumpet from faraway Gdinj echoing through the kalete of Hvar’s towns — a reminder that jazz is still here among us.”
