 This summer, Midsummer Scene Festival presents ONE FOR ALL, a new adaptation of The Three Musketeers, written especially for the festival by its co-founder Filip Krenus and directed by Sean Aita, marking his fourth premiere with the festival.

Told from the perspective of an aged D’Artagnan thrown into prison with a troupe of actors, the production bursts into comedy and adventure. Swordplay, theatrical invention, and fast-paced ensemble storytelling transform Dumas’ classic into a playful contemporary work built around the sheer joy of performance.

Combat spills beyond rapiers into whatever the actors can seize – sticks, pot lids, baguettes, fragments of scenery, even the audience – turning the stage into a constantly shifting playground. As in previous festival productions, British actors and an international creative team blend with Dubrovnik artists, continuing the festival’s signature style.
This is a Musketeer tale told (and occasionally sung) by actors about actors: a celebration of theatre itself.
Set against the stone walls of Fort Lovrjenac, Dubrovnik’s historic open-air stage, the production continues Midsummer Scene’s tradition of actor-driven, skill-based storytelling. For our Twelfth season, Midsummer Scene Festival returns to the spirit of adventure that shaped its earlier successes, choosing a story perfectly matched to the city’s backdrop and theatrical energy.

 Ovoga ljeta Midsummer Scene festival donosi naslov JEDAN ZA SVE, novu, dinamičnu i duhovitu verziju Tri mušketira, napisanu posebno za festival i pozornicu tvrđave Lovrjenac.
Autor je Filip Krenus, suosnivač festivala, a režiju potpisuje britanski redatelj Sean Aita kojemu je ovo četvrta dubrovačka premijera.

Ispričana iz perspektive ostarjelog D’Artagnana koji igrom slučaja završi u tamnici sa šarolikom glumačkom družinom, predstava isprepliće komediju i pustolovinu. Mačevanje, kazališna inventivnost i glumačka igra pretvaraju klasik Alexandra Dumasa u
razigrano, suvremeno djelo koje se temelji na čistoj radosti izvedbe.

Osim mačeva, u borbu ulazi sve što je pri ruci: štapovi, poklopci, francuski kruh, komadi scenografije, čak i publika, a pozornica se tako pretvara u duhovit i dinamičan prostor igre.
Kao i u prethodnim festivalskim projektima, britanski glumci i međunarodni kreativni tim radi s dubrovačkim umjetnicima, nastavljajući naš prepoznatljivi stil.

JEDAN ZA SVE je mušketirska priča koju glumci pričaju (i ponekad zapjevaju) upravo o glumcima. Postavljena u povijesni prostor tvrđave Lovrjenac, predstava nastavlja koncept festivala Midsummer Scene oslanjajući se na glumačku energiju, vještinu i maštovitu umjetnost pripovijedanja.

U svojoj dvanaestoj sezoni, Midsummer Scene Festival ponovno priziva avanturistički duh odabirući pustolovnu priču koja se idealno stapa s gradskim ambijentom i snažnom kazališnom energijom.
